Employee Participation in a Tree-Planting Event

Contributing to Environmental Conservation through Forest Restoration in Takao 

 As part of our commitment to building a sustainable society, our company has been participating as a supporting sponsor in a tree-planting initiative organized by the Takao Forest Conservation Association. This program aims to preserve and nurture the forests in the Takao area, contributing to the restoration and conservation of the local natural environment. 
On the day of the event, a small group of volunteer employees took part. Although participation was modest in scale, it provided a valuable opportunity for employees to connect with nature and deepen their understanding of environmental issues. 

Tree-Planting Activity 
 The Takao Forest Conservation Association works to maintain satoyama forests—managed woodland areas that require human care—in a healthy condition and pass them on to future generations. In this event, participants engaged in tree-planting activities to support forest regeneration. 
 Under the guidance of experienced staff, employees planted saplings and carried out basic maintenance of the surrounding environment. Each participant worked carefully, handling the soil and planting each young tree with a sense of responsibility and care. 
These efforts go beyond simply planting trees—they represent an important step toward maintaining well-managed forests and fostering a harmonious coexistence between people and nature. 
 
Our Approach to Environmental Responsibility 
 As a manufacturer of scientific instruments supporting nanotechnology, our company contributes to advancements in research and industry through our products and technologies. At the same time, we actively engage in community initiatives as a supporting sponsor. 
Through our involvement in the Takao forest initiative, we had the opportunity to reflect on our responsibilities as a manufacturing company. The project emphasizes working closely with nature and sustaining forests through human effort—values that resonate strongly with our corporate philosophy. 
 Rather than treating sustainability as something complex, we believe in taking simple, meaningful actions to help preserve the natural environment for future generations. Step by step, these efforts contribute to a more sustainable society. 
This initiative is part of a forest conservation program conducted under an agreement with Japan’s Forestry Agency. It is also closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: 

• Goal 13: Climate Action 
• Goal 15: Life on Land 

As part of our social responsibility efforts, we will continue to support and promote these initiatives going forward.
