ELIONIX Participates in Tree Planting in Tokyo

-A Step Toward a Sustainable Future through Contribution to the SDGs-

On April 13, 2025, eight employees and their family members from Elionix took part in the “Spring Tree Planting Festival” organized by “Takao-no-Mori-Zukuri-no-Kai (Takao Forest Creation Society)”. This annual event, now in its 25th year, is held to promote local environmental conservation and forest regeneration. Despite persistent rain, participants—including many companies and local residents—successfully planted 150 of the 240 prepared seedlings.

Although Elionix has supported Takao-no-Mori-Zukuri-no-Kai as a supporting member since its founding in 2000, this marked the company’s first time sending employees to participate directly in the event. Each individual picked up a shovel and worked diligently on steep slopes. The hands-on experience provided a valuable opportunity for participants to connect with nature and reflect on important environmental questions: “What actions can we take today?” and “What legacy can we leave for the next generation?”

This activity is recognized as part of an officially endorsed forest development program under agreement with the Forestry Agency of Japan. It is also closely aligned with two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
• Goal 13: CLIMATE ACTION
• Goal 15: LIFE ON LAND

Feedback from participants included comments such as, “It helped us connect with each other as colleagues,” and “It gave me firsthand insight into how forests we often take for granted are actually maintained.” The event also played a meaningful role in enhancing awareness of the SDGs across the company.

Elionix will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, not only through technological innovation, but also through activities that promote harmony with both local and global ecosystems.
